The importance of stuff sacs
This summer will be my third summer working as a camp counsellor. If there is one thing that I have learned over the past two summers, it's how to stuff even the biggest sleeping bags into the tiniest of stuff-sacs. At first thought, this may seem like an insignificant skill to possess, however when a camper is on the verge of tears because his/her sleeping bag will just not fit into the sac, and the bus leaves in 5 minutes, it's a very useful skill to have. Not only do you save the camper from embarrassment of having to throw a lose sleeping bag on the bus, but he/she learns that even in the smallest things, you care enough to help.
When I think about this, I also think about how much God cares about us. He loves us and takes care of us not only in the "big things" in life, but also in the small things. He helps us to get parking spots, seats on the train, and He even helps us to find our car keys when we are already 20 minutes late for work. God doesn't just fall asleep when nothing HUGE is happening, He's always there.
